Adon (Assistant Director of Nursing)

We are seeking a motivated and experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join our nursing leadership team. The ADON will work closely with the Director of Nursing to oversee daily nursing operations, support clinical excellence, and ensure high-quality, resident-centered care.

Responsibilities

• Assist the DON with the daily operations of the Nursing Department.

• Provide clinical leadership and supervision to RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and nursing staff.

• Monitor resident care, documentation, and compliance with facility policies and regulations.

• Assist with staffing, scheduling, assignments, and coverage.

• Support staff training, orientation, coaching, and performance management.

• Participate in care plan meetings, QAPI initiatives, and quality improvement activities.

• Assist with surveys, audits, incident investigations, and regulatory compliance.

• Promote excellent communication with residents, families, physicians, and the interdisciplinary team.

• Help maintain a positive culture focused on quality care, teamwork, and accountability.

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state of employment.

• Previous nursing supervisory or leadership experience preferred.

• Long-term care/skilled nursing experience preferred.

• Strong clinical, communication, organizational, and leadership skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
