Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Assistant Director of Nursing Scheduler to join our team at Avir at Santa Fe. As an essential member of our Nursing Services Department, the Assistant Director of Nursing Scheduler will be responsible for managing administrative and functional areas or programs, supporting the Director of Nursing, and ensuring the delivery of excellent care to our residents. Key Responsibilities:
Manage areas or programs related to Nursing Services, including departmental documentation, medical records, nursing supplies, and ancillary services
Support the Director of Nursing in planning and coordinating all aspects of nursing service, including interacting with other disciplines and departments
Assist in monitoring the day-to-day operation of the nursing department, establishing priorities, and managing records, budgets, and supplies
Fill in as acting Director of Nursing, charge nurse, or other nursing positions as needed
Ensure compliance with state, federal, and company standards, including alerting management of potential non-compliance issues and preparing correction plans
Develop positive relationships with government regulators, families, healthcare community, and the community at large
Ensure understanding of and compliance with all rules regarding residents' rights
Requirements:
Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) in good standing and currently licensed by the state
Completion of post-secondary education or otherwise able to read, write, and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey, explain, or interpret complex specialized information related to long-term care rules and regulations

Must be able to perform the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation
Ability to complete continuing education hours as required by the State
Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates
Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance
