Sales Intern

Description:

As a Sales Intern, you’ll gain valuable experience supporting BAYCOM’s sales and business development efforts. You’ll work alongside our Business Development Managers and sales team to learn the sales process, build relationships with prospective customers, and help generate new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively engage in outbound calling and outreach using curated lead lists to help build a strong sales pipeline.
• Research prospective customers and industries to identify potential business opportunities.
• Establish rapport with prospects through value-driven communication and learn to understand their goals and business needs.
• Collect and accurately document customer data — including business needs, decision-making processes, and timelines — within CRM systems.
• Learn to ask insightful questions to identify customer challenges and understand how Panasonic products can solve real-world problems.
• Collaborate closely with Business Development Managers by qualifying leads, setting appointments, and ensuring smooth handoffs.
• Gain exposure to the full sales process, including prospecting, lead generation, relationship building, and business development.

• Interest in sales, business development, technology, or a related field
• A competitive nature and motivation to learn and grow
• Strong communication and presentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Currently pursuing a degree in business, sales, marketing, communications, or a related field preferred, but not required
• Previous sales or customer service experience is a plus but not required
