Clinical Staffing Coordinator

Berrien Oaks Nursing & Rehab is seeking a highly organized and proactive Clinical Staffing Coordinator to coordinate daily staffing for our clinical team. This role directly supports our Director of Nursing (DON) and Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) and is essential to maintaining safe staffing levels for our residents.

CNA, LPN, or RN preferred , previous clinical scheduling and labor management experience required .

Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and update schedules for CNA, LPN, RN, and CMA staff

• Handle all call‑outs, including documenting them and finding coverage quickly and professionally

• Maintain real‑time awareness of staffing levels and adjust schedules as needed

• Use strong forecasting skills to anticipate shortages, high‑acuity days, and PTO impacts

• Communicate schedule changes clearly to staff and nursing leadership

• Collaborate closely with the DON and ADON to ensure staffing meets clinical and regulatory requirements

• Maintain accurate records in scheduling systems (Empeon experience a plus)

• Support compliance with HPPD and facility staffing standards

• Build positive relationships with nursing staff to promote teamwork and reliability
