Empowered Staffing is partnered with a growing senior living organization seeking a Director of Nursing to join their team and oversee clinical operations, staff development, and regulatory compliance at their skilled nursing facility in Ripton.
The Director of Nursing will lead all clinical and resident care operations, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all resident care services for skilled nursing and assisted living residents.
- Conduct resident assessments, reassessments, and evaluations of care needs.
- Develop, implement, and update individualized service plans and care plans.
- Monitor resident health status and identify changes in condition requiring intervention.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure continuity of care.
- Oversee medication administration programs and processes.
- Provide coaching, mentorship, and ongoing professional development.
- Conduct performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed.
- Maintain readiness for state surveys, audits, and inspections.
- Implement and maintain policies related to resident care, safety, infection control, and risk management.
- Address concerns related to resident care, medications, and overall well-being.
- Foster positive relationships and effective communication with residents, families, and external care partners.
- Develop initiatives to improve resident outcomes and quality of care.
- Coordinate services with rehabilitation providers, hospice agencies, physicians, and other healthcare partners.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Wisconsin.
- Strong knowledge of Wisconsin skilled nursing regulations and compliance requirements.
- Experience with resident assessments, care planning, and medication management.
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and retain caregiving teams.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Passion for providing exceptional care and enhancing the resident experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3+ years of leadership experience in skilled nursing.
- Experience preparing for and managing state surveys and regulatory inspections.
