About the Role
Dexter is looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician B to join our team on 2nd shift. The Maintenance Technician B will be responsible for repairing and maintaining machinery, equipment, and building systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills and the ability to troubleshoot and solve problems efficiently.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Inspect machinery and equipment to determine maintenance needs
- Perform regular maintenance on machinery, equipment, and building systems
- Repair or replace defective components in machinery and equipment
- Troubleshoot issues to identify root causes and implement solutions
- Follow maintenance schedules and keep records of work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to complete maintenance tasks
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner
- Utilize hand and power tools to perform maintenance tasks
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and systems
What We’re Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a similar role
- Knowledge of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and other related systems
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Certification in HVAC, electrical, or another related field is a plus
Physical & Work Requirements
- Ability to bend, stretch, push, pull, climb, and reach to service equipment
- Ability to walk and work throughout the facility to diagnose and repair issues
- Comfortable working around production machinery and in active manufacturing areas
- Willing to work flexible schedules, including overtime when needed
- Must pass background check and drug screening

- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Availability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends when necessary.
