Job Title: Medical Assistant II (Family Medicine / Outpatient)
Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced and multi-skilled Medical Assistant II to join an active outpatient Family Medicine clinic. In this role, you will perform essential clinical and administrative duties—including taking vital signs, administering injections, drawing blood, preparing exam rooms, assisting with minor procedures, and coordinating patient check-ins and scheduling.

Compensation & Schedule:
  • Pay Rate Range: $21.19 – $32.85 / hour (commensurate with experience).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clinical Patient Prep: Greet and check in patients, record accurate vital signs, collect medical histories, and notify providers of any immediate patient concerns or priorities.
  • Laboratory & Procedures: Perform routine phlebotomy/blood draws, collect and process lab specimens, administer injections, and assist providers during examinations and clinical procedures.
  • Infection Control & Equipment: Maintain aseptic technique, sanitize examination rooms, and clean, package, and autoclave medical instruments.
  • Patient & Administrative Support: Handle telephone triage within scope, schedule appointments, assist patients with insurance forms, and handle basic billing/registration entries.

Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Education: Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant program [Required].
  • Certifications:
    • Active Medical Assistant Certification: CMA (AAMA), RMA (AMT), or CCMA [Required].
    • Active Basic Life Support (BLS) through the American Heart Association (AHA) [Required].
  • Experience: Previous medical assistant experience in an outpatient clinic or ambulatory care setting [Strongly Preferred].
  • Core Competencies: Excellent patient-care demeanor, strong phlebotomy/specimen collection skills, and knowledge of sterilization protocols.
