Physical Therapist Schedule
Days: Monday to Friday, 8 AM - 5 PM
Job DescriptionThe Physical Therapist provides comprehensive Physical Therapy services to patients, including assessment, treatment plan development, and implementation, as well as follow-up and discharge planning. This role includes active participation in clinical department operations, program development, and performance improvement activities.
Responsibilities- Conduct comprehensive diagnostic evaluations to determine patients' physical and cognitive abilities.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, incorporating patient and family participation.
- Maintain accurate documentation, including initial evaluations, daily progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Participate in patient care conferences, family conferences, and departmental meetings.
- Provide counseling to patients and families regarding evaluation, care, and treatment options.
- Assist in the supervision of Physical Therapy and Physical Therapy Assistant student programs.
- Coordinate and supervise department operations to ensure quality patient coverage and associate orientation.
- Adhere to departmental productivity standards and participate in community resource awareness.
- Engage in educational opportunities and research activities relevant to the role.
- Foster professional relationships with medical staff and referral sources.
- Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited institution.
- Current New Mexico Physical Therapist Licensure.
- BLS certification via AHA required.
- No prior experience is required.
This is a 13-week contract position.
