Job Responsibilities:

• Administer cognitive, achievement, social/emotional, adaptive, autism spectrum, and other relevant assessments to students.
• Evaluate and interpret student data and recommend appropriate regular and special education services.
• Obtain and process Permission to Evaluate forms and communicate completion timelines with staff.
• Interpret assessment findings and recommendations to parents of students being considered for special education placement.
• Consult with teachers, administrators, parents, and other professionals regarding student needs and diagnostic findings.
• Develop a school mentor program to support students’ social-emotional development.
• Consult with parents regarding students’ learning potential, achievement, and personality development.
• Prepare and submit special education data as requested.
• Review incoming student records to ensure compliance.
• Attend IEP meetings as the LEA representative when needed.
• Complete required paperwork within established timelines.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Valid Arizona School Psychologist Certificate required.
• Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card required.
• Experience as a teacher or school counselor preferred.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
