Description
American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist with 2+ years of experience for an acute care setting requiring ARRT and BLS certification.
Details
- Acute care Interventional Radiology department with 6 procedure labs, pre-op and phase 2 recovery areas
- Average of 20-30 cases per day
- Patient population includes vascular, neuro, drains, and lines cases
- Job duties include scrubbing, passing supplies, and setting up/breaking down procedure rooms
- Uses EPIC EMR and Philips monitors
- Charge RN covers 0730-1700 shifts, assists with cases and lunch coverage but does not take patients
- Unit staffed with IR Techs and 1 PCT
- Schedule consists of 4x9 hour day shifts per week with call requirements
- Weeknight call required (7-9 shifts in 6 weeks)
- Weekend and holiday call required
- Call response time is 30 minutes
- No floating required; assignment is dedicated to either cath lab or IR
- 3-5 days of unit-specific orientation provided
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as an Interventional Radiology Technologist required
- ARRT and BLS certification required
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Active state license required if applicable
- Experience with vascular, neuro, and line/drain procedures required
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care IR setting

- Local candidates accepted; local rate applies for those within 50 miles of the facility
- No radius restriction for eligibility
- Negative drug screen required for consideration
- COVID vaccination not required
- Facility observes a call-off policy equivalent to 12 hours per 13 weeks with no penalty
