Diagnostic Imaging Technologist – CT

Job Summary
The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist – CT performs high-quality CT imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, confidentiality, and excellent customer service. The technologist works closely with referring physicians, radiologists, patients, and hospital staff to provide accurate, timely, and efficient CT services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform CT imaging procedures as requested by referring physicians.
  • Follow appropriate clinical standards, methods, and procedures when performing CT examinations.
  • Maintain proper radiation safety practices for patients and coworkers.
  • Provide patients with appropriate education and instructions regarding CT procedures.
  • Maintain patient and hospital information confidentiality.
  • Communicate effectively with referring physicians, radiologists, and other healthcare staff.
  • Complete all required functions in the Radiology Management System related to patient procedures.
  • Follow Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology service standards when interacting with patients, visitors, employees, and other customers.
  • Comply with hospital policies and procedures, including incident reporting requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and reliable documentation related to patient procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Education

  • Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology

Required Certifications & Licensure

  • New York State Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License – Injection Registered
  • ARRT(R) Certification
  • BLS Certification from AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross

Preferred Certification

  • ARRT CT Registration
