Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with 2+ years of experience and Level I Trauma experience for a Day shift assignment.

Details

  • CT Tech assignment in a Level I Trauma facility
  • Patient population includes adult and pediatric acute care, outpatient, ICU, and Emergency Department cases
  • Performs abdomen/pelvis, chest, head/neck, spine, and musculoskeletal CT studies with and without contrast
  • Special procedures include biopsies, drainage, myelography, and vascular chest imaging (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
  • Utilizes GE and Philips imaging equipment with PACS
  • Cerner EMR experience required
  • 3x12 hour Day shifts from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM

Requirements

  • ARRT certification required
  • WV license required (License required if applicable)
  • Minimum 2 years of CT Tech experience required
  • Level I Trauma experience required
  • Cerner charting system experience required
  • BLS certification required
  • Experience with image display and post-processing, including 3D rendering (MIP, surface shaded displays, volume rendering) and ROI measurement
  • Skilled in contrast media preparation and administration
  • Proficient in peripheral IV starts and venipuncture
  • Knowledge of radiation safety and isolation precautions/PPE

Additional Information

  • Perform diagnostic CT imaging across multiple specialties including abdomen, chest, head/neck, and musculoskeletal studies
  • Support trauma and emergency imaging needs within a Level I Trauma center
  • First-time travelers will not be considered for this role
  • Candidates must reside more than 100 miles from the facility; those between 75-100 miles may be considered case-by-case at the same rate
  • Former permanent employees must wait 2 years from their last date of employment before returning as a traveler
  • Current employees of the health system (including PRN staff) are not eligible for travel contracts within the same system
  • Non-billable EMR training modules must be completed prior to start, typically taking 2-6 hours
