Precious Cat, a cat litter manufacturing company in Cheyenne, Wyoming, is seeking an experienced Industrial Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team.


This is a hands-on leadership position supervising a current team of four maintenance mechanics. The Industrial Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for keeping our production equipment operating safely and reliably, leading preventive maintenance efforts, troubleshooting equipment issues, and helping improve overall plant performance.


We are looking for someone with strong industrial mechanical experience who is comfortable both leading a team and working hands-on when needed.


RESPONSIBILITIES

• Supervise, lead, and develop a team of maintenance mechanics
• Ensure production machinery and equipment remain operational and minimize production downtime
• Plan, schedule, and oversee preventive maintenance activities
• Manage preventive maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment history, and maintenance records using Fiix CMMS
• Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, conveyor, and automated production equipment
• Troubleshoot motors, gearboxes, bearings, pumps, sensors, VFDs, controls, and other industrial equipment
• Diagnose equipment failures and determine root causes of recurring problems
• Coordinate maintenance priorities and repairs with production management
• Lead equipment installations, upgrades, repairs, and plant improvement projects
• Identify and implement opportunities to improve equipment reliability and production efficiency
• Maintain spare parts inventory and order necessary replacement parts and supplies
• Maintain accurate maintenance and repair documentation
• Coordinate outside contractors and service providers when necessary
• Promote safe work practices and maintain an organized maintenance department
• Assist with emergency repairs and production equipment breakdowns as needed


QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing or production environment
• Previous supervisory, management, or maintenance team leadership experience
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills
• Experience with industrial preventive maintenance programs
• Experience using CMMS software; Fiix experience is preferred
• Experience with conveyors, motors, bearings, gearboxes, pumps, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems
• Industrial electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• PLC, VFD, sensor, and controls experience is a strong plus
• Ability to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and electrical schematics
• Welding and fabrication experience is a plus
• Forklift and heavy equipment experience preferred
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize maintenance work in a fast-paced production environment
• Must provide basic hand tools


PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to bend, reach, climb, kneel, crouch, and work around production equipment
• Ability to safely work around moving machinery and industrial equipment


WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position works in an active manufacturing facility and may be exposed to industrial machinery, dust, noise, vibration, and varying indoor temperatures.

Overtime and weekend work may occasionally be required based on production needs, equipment repairs, or emergencies.


COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $95,000–$110,000 annual salary, depending on experience
