Carpenters assistant

Key Responsibilities

• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport lumber, drywall, and tools to the work area.
• Measuring and Cutting: Measure, mark, and cut wood or other materials to specified dimensions using hand and power tools.
• Assisting Assembly: Hold materials in place while the lead carpenter fastens them with nails, screws, or glue.
• Finishing Tasks: Sand surfaces, fill gaps, or clean up finished installations.

Job Requirements

• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods, bend, and lift heavy objects (often 50 to 75 pounds).
• Tool Knowledge: Basic understanding of hand and power tools like saws, drills, and hammers.
• Safety Focus: Willingness to follow strict job-site safety rules and wear protective gear.
