Job Description
Pay: $20–$22 per hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Part-Time, Weekends & Flexible Shifts Available
We are seeking experienced, dependable, and compassionate Caregivers to join our private-pay, non-medical personal assistance team. We are looking for caregivers who take pride in providing respectful, reliable, and high-quality care to seniors and individuals who need assistance maintaining their independence at home.
The ideal candidate has at least 2 years of caregiving experience and is comfortable working with clients who may have dementia, Alzheimer’s disease, behavioral challenges, or other conditions requiring additional patience and support.
What You'll Do
Caregivers may assist clients with:
- Personal care and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting assistance
- Mobility and transfers, as appropriate to the client's care plan
- Companionship and social engagement
- Meal preparation and assistance with meals
- Light housekeeping and maintaining a safe, comfortable environment
- Laundry and changing bed linens
- Medication reminders and assistance with established routines within the scope of non-medical care
- Assistance with errands and shopping
- Accompanying clients to appointments and community activities, when applicable
- Transportation assistance, when required and appropriate
- Walking, exercise, hobbies, games, and other activities that promote quality of life
- Providing reassurance and redirection for clients experiencing confusion or behavioral challenges
- Observing and communicating changes in a client's condition, mood, behavior, or daily functioning to the appropriate supervisor
- Following the client's individualized care plan and company policies
- Maintaining client dignity, privacy, safety, and independence at all times
What We're Looking For
Required:
- Minimum 2 years of professional caregiving experience
- Experience providing care to seniors or individuals requiring personal assistance
- Experience with dementia, Alzheimer's, or behavioral challenges preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and dependable
- Compassionate and respectful communication style
- Ability to follow a client's care plan and company procedures
- Ability to work independently in a client's home
- Professional attitude and strong boundaries
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and the care team
Preferred qualifications:
- CNA, HHA, PCA, or other relevant caregiving certification
- Dementia/Alzheimer's care training
- Behavioral-care experience or related training
- Experience with transfers, mobility assistance, and fall-prevention practices
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation, if transportation of clients is required
