About Indie Learning Co.

At Indie, we believe every child deserves to be seen, supported, and celebrated exactly as they are. As a Studio Support team member, you won't just be an aide in our studios (classroom) — you'll be a relationship-builder, a co-regulator, and a genuine part of a child's world. If you've been looking for work that actually means something, this is it.

This is a highly collaborative role where you’ll work alongside a Studio Lead, SLP, and OT to implement individualized plans and create meaningful, inclusive learning experiences.

If you’re passionate about child development, inclusion, and relationship-based care, we’d love to meet you.

Position Overview

We are hiring a Studio Lead to oversee daily classroom operations, lead a team of support staff, and ensure high-quality, child-led learning experiences.

This role blends:

  • Classroom leadership
  • Team supervision
  • Hands-on child support

You’ll serve as the point person in the studio, ensuring strong routines, engaged learners, and a well-supported team—all aligned with a neurodiversity-affirming approach.

Key Responsibilities

Classroom Leadership & Operations

  • Lead daily classroom flow (arrival, transitions, learning blocks, meals, dismissal)
  • Maintain a structured, engaging, and safe environment

Team Leadership & Supervision

  • Supervise and support Studio Support staff
  • Provide real-time coaching, feedback, and direction
  • Delegate responsibilities and ensure full classroom coverage
  • Support onboarding and training of new team members

Child Development & Learning Support

  • Facilitate play-based, child-led learning experiences
  • Implement individualized plans alongside SLPs, OTs, PTs, and BCBAs
  • Support communication using AAC and other tools
  • Promote social-emotional development, regulation, and independence

Behavioral & Developmental Support

  • Use strengths-based, non-punitive approaches
  • Support regulation through environmental and sensory strategies
  • Guide staff in consistent responses to learner needs

Family Communication & Documentation

  • Oversee daily communication with families via Lillio
  • Ensure accurate documentation (attendance, incidents, daily logs)
  • Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and quality standards

Environment & Program Management

  • Ensure materials, visuals, and supports are prepared and accessible
  • Maintain organized, clean, and developmentally appropriate spaces
  • Monitor supplies and communicate needs to leadership

  • Experience in:
  • Child development
  • Special education
  • ABA / behavioral support
  • Early childhood education
  • Proven ability to lead teams and manage classrooms
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

Requirements

  • CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Ability to pass background and fingerprint clearance
  • Ability to work in an active, hands-on environment

Work Environment

  • Children ages 3 – 14 years with diverse developmental needs
  • Classrooms, therapy spaces, and sensory environments
