Shifts: Flexible 4- to 12-hour shifts

FirstLight Home Care is hiring compassionate, dependable caregivers in Carlsbad and throughout North County San Diego.

We offer day, evening, overnight, weekday, and weekend shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours. Tell us when you are available, and we will discuss client assignments that match your schedule, experience, and skills.

What You’ll Do

Depending on the client’s individual care plan, you may assist with:

• Companionship and meaningful activities
• Bathing, dressing, toileting, and incontinence care
• Meal preparation and medication reminders
• Dementia reassurance and redirection
• Transfers, mobility, and fall-prevention support
• Light housekeeping
• Transportation and errands
• Care documentation and communication

What We’re Looking For

• Professional or personal caregiving experience preferred
• Compassionate, patient, and dependable
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
• Reliable attendance and strong communication
• Willing to travel to client homes throughout North County
• Reliable personal vehicle
• Valid California driver’s license
• Current auto insurance
• California Home Care Aide registration or willingness to complete the process
• Ability to satisfy applicable background-clearance, health-screening, and agency onboarding requirements
• Ability to perform the essential duties of the position, with or without reasonable accommodation

Paid training is available for dependable, compassionate candidates who are ready to learn.

Service Area and Travel

This position serves clients in Carlsbad and nearby North County communities, including Oceanside, Vista, Encinitas, San Marcos, Escondido, and surrounding areas. The location and schedule will be discussed with you before you accept an assignment.
