Manufacturing Supervisor - CNC Machining - Second Shift

One of our primary clients is seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Supervisor to lead second-shift machining operations in a union manufacturing environment. This position requires strong CNC machining knowledge and the ability to drive safety, quality, productivity and on-time delivery.

Responsibilities

• Supervise union CNC machinists, operators and production personnel
• Coordinate daily staffing, job priorities and machine schedules
• Support CNC setups, tooling, offsets and machining-process troubleshooting
• Monitor production output, scrap, quality and schedule attainment
• Ensure compliance with blueprints, work instructions and quality requirements
• Partner with engineering, quality and maintenance to resolve production issues
• Enforce safety procedures and the collective bargaining agreement
• Coach employees, document performance issues and support corrective actions
• Lead shift meetings and provide accurate production handoffs

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining or precision-manufacturing experience
• Previous supervisory, lead or production-management experience
• Strong knowledge of CNC turning and/or milling operations
• Ability to read blueprints and understand tolerances, GD&T and inspection requirements
• Experience supervising employees in a union environment strongly preferred
• Familiarity with gear manufacturing is a plus
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working full-time on second shift
