Job Description
Family Medicine | Bilingual Spanish/English Strongly Preferred

Ready to be more than just "the person who checks vitals"? At The Family Doctors, a growing, patient-centered family medicine practice in Hunter's Creek, our Medical Assistants are a real part of the clinical team — trusted by our physicians, close to our patients, and directly responsible for keeping people healthier between visits. If you want hands-on clinical work that actually moves the needle on patient outcomes, we want to meet you.

About Us

The Family Doctors is a bilingual, community-rooted primary care practice serving Hunter's Creek and South Orlando. We're growing, we run on modern tools (eClinicalWorks), and we take quality of care seriously — our team is measured not just on how many patients we see, but on how well we keep them well.

What You'll Do — Clinical Care

•     Room patients: take vital signs, record chief complaint, and complete medication reconciliation in eClinicalWorks.
•     Prepare exam rooms and work side-by-side with our physicians during patient visits.
•     Perform point-of-care testing, injections, and phlebotomy draws consistent with your certification and      scope of practice.
•     Document visit details, orders, and results accurately and promptly in the EHR.
•     Label and process specimens and manage lab requisitions.
•     Keep clinical supplies stocked and equipment calibration logs current.

What You'll Do — Quality & Preventive Care Impact

•     Work from gap-in-care reports to help identify patients who are due or overdue for key preventive screenings and chronic care checks — cancer screenings, diabetes management (A1c, eye, kidney health), blood pressure control, and annual wellness visits.
•     Make sure care delivered at the visit is documented and coded correctly, so patients get full credit for the preventive care they receive.
•     Talk with patients, in plain bilingual language, about why these screenings matter — you'll be a trusted voice, not just a clipboard.
•     Give you real exposure to how a modern primary care practice manages quality and value-based care — a skill set that stands out on a resume.

What We're Looking For

•     Medical Assistant certification (CMA/RMA) preferred.
•     Experience in a medical office or clinical setting; family medicine/primary care a plus.
•     Comfortable documenting in an EHR system (eClinicalWorks experience a plus).
•     Bilingual Spanish/English strongly preferred.
•     Current BLS/CPR certification, or able to obtain one shortly after hire.
•     Detail-oriented, especially with clinical documentation and coding accuracy — and genuinely interested in patient outcomes, not just task completion.

Why You'll Love Working Here

•     Hands-on clinical experience and mentorship in a growing, patient-centered practice.
•     Work that directly affects patient outcomes, not just paperwork.
•     Exposure to preventive care and quality-measure work most MA roles never touch — great for anyone eyeing a future in care coordination or practice quality.
•     A supportive, bilingual, team-oriented environment in Hunter's Creek.
