Job Description
Responsibilities
- Prepare, culture, and maintain various cell lines using sterile techniques in accordance with laboratory protocols and safety procedures
- Monitor cell growth, morphology, and viability regularly; troubleshoot issues as they arise
- Perform routine passaging, cryopreservation, thawing, and cell counting procedures with accuracy and efficiency
- Conduct quality control tests on cell cultures to ensure purity, contamination-free status, and consistency
- Maintain detailed laboratory records of all procedures, observations, and experimental data using laboratory information management systems (LIMS)
- Assist in the development and optimization of cell culture protocols for different applications such as molecular biology or histology studies
- Adhere strictly to laboratory safety standards, chemical handling procedures, and regulatory requirements including GLP (Good Laboratory Practice), CGMP (Current Good Manufacturing Practice), and FDA regulations
- Support laboratory maintenance activities including equipment calibration, sterilization processes, inventory management, and compliance audits
Experience
- Previous experience working in an industrial or research laboratory setting involving cell culture techniques is highly desirable
- Demonstrated knowledge of microbiology, histology, molecular biology methods, and sterile laboratory techniques
- Proficiency in using laboratory instruments such as microscopes, centrifuges, pipettes, incubators, and biosafety cabinets
- Strong record-keeping skills with experience using Laboratory Information Management Systems (LIMS) or similar software
- Ability to follow detailed standard operating procedures (SOPs) accurately while maintaining high-quality results
- Experience working within a research environment that emphasizes data collection, analysis skills, and scientific research methodologies
- Knowledge of chemical handling safety procedures and laboratory safety protocols is essential
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting

Meticulous attention to detail and the ability to adhere to strict protocols and procedures is a must. Working in a fast-paced lab environment you will need to have strong organizational skills and be able to pivot quickly.
Work Schedule
· Typical (not exact) schedule is Monday-Friday 9am-6pm
· Occasional weekends, evenings, and holiday work are required
· Ability to travel as needed
Qualifications
· Minimum of two years’ experience as a Cell Culture Technician
· Bachelor’s or master's degree in biology, biochemistry or related field
· Strong understanding of lab safety and hygiene
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team
· Knowledge of cell biology and sterile techniques
