Thermoformer / Vacuum Forming Operator – Lead

We are seeking an experienced Thermoformer / Vacuum Forming Operator/Lead with hands-on experience setting up, operating, and troubleshooting thermoforming/vacuum forming equipment. This position requires someone who understands the complete setup process, including mold installation, machine adjustments, and cutter setup.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate thermoforming/vacuum forming machines
• Install and change molds/tooling for production runs
• Set up and adjust cutters and trimming equipment
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, heating, forming, and production issues
• Adjust temperature, vacuum, pressure, timing, and other machine settings to achieve proper forming
• Perform changeovers and prepare equipment for different products
• Monitor production to ensure parts meet quality specifications
• Identify defects and make machine adjustments to correct quality issues
• Perform basic preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
• Minimize downtime by quickly identifying and correcting operational problems
• Train and assist operators with proper machine operation and production procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area
• Follow all safety, quality, and production procedures

Requirements

• Previous hands-on experience operating thermoforming or vacuum forming equipment
• Must have experience with machine setup and troubleshooting
• Experience installing/changing molds and setting up cutters
• Ability to perform machine changeovers and make production adjustments
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read work orders, measurements, and production specifications
• Experience leading or training other machine operators is preferred
• Dependable and able to work independently with minimal supervision

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is more than a machine operator. The ideal candidate has the mechanical knowledge to set up the thermoformer from start to finish, install molds, set cutters, troubleshoot problems, make adjustments, and keep production running efficiently.
