Power Press Operator

Key Responsibilities

• Machine Operation: Run mechanical or hydraulic power presses to bend, punch, and cut raw materials.
• Setup and Adjustment: Install and align dies, tools, and guides according to blueprints or job orders.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished items using precision measuring tools like micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Safety Compliance: Follow strict safety rules, use protective equipment, and ensure machine guards or safety devices function correctly.
• Maintenance: Clean, oil, and perform basic troubleshooting or routine care on the equipment.
• Documentation: Keep records of production counts, output quality, and machine issues.

Skills and Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent, often with technical or vocational training.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and job specifications.
