Job Description
We are hiring a Residential Maintenance Technician to keep our properties safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. If you're a hands-on problem-solver who takes pride in quality work and enjoys a variety of tasks each day, we want to hear from you.
As a Residential Maintenance Technician, you'll handle everything from routine upkeep to emergency repairs, helping ensure residents have a comfortable, well-maintained place to call home.
- Shift: Days, Mon–Fri / 8 AM -5 PM
- Location: San Antonio, Multiple Properties
- Pay: $21.60
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general repairs and preventive maintenance throughout residential units and common areas.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot issues involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliances.
- Respond to resident work orders and maintenance requests in a timely, professional manner.
- Complete unit turnovers between move-out and move-in, including repairs, painting, and cleaning coordination.
- Perform minor carpentry, drywall repair, painting, and fixture/appliance replacement.
- Conduct routine property inspections to catch issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of work orders, parts used, and time spent on tasks.
- Follow all safety protocols and local housing/building codes while performing maintenance duties.
- Coordinate with property managers and leasing staff to prioritize and schedule work.
- Participate in an on-call rotation for after-hours emergency repairs (e.g., water leaks, HVAC outages, lockouts).
Requirements
- 1+ years of residential, apartment, or property maintenance experience preferred.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Working knowledge of basic plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and appliance repair.
- Ability to troubleshoot and complete hands-on repairs with minimal supervision.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks including standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
- Comfortable working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
