Job Overview
As the Assistant Manager, you are the right hand to the Store Manager and a leader on the shop floor. You will balance high-level operational tasks with hands-on customer service. Your mission is to drive sales, mentor Customer Service Advisors, and ensure the "Jiffy Lube Signature Service" is executed perfectly every time.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Supervise, train, and motivate the team. You’ll be responsible for maintaining high morale and ensuring all staff follow safety and service protocols.
Operational Excellence: Oversee daily shop operations, including inventory management, opening/closing procedures, and maintaining a clean, professional facility.
Customer Experience: Step in to handle complex customer inquiries or complaints, ensuring every guest leaves satisfied.
Sales Performance: Monitor shop KPIs and coach the team on effectively communicating manufacturer-recommended services to guests.
Quality Control: Perform regular "spot checks" on vehicle services and POS transactions to ensure 100% accuracy and safety.
Qualifications & Skills
Leadership Experience: At least 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or "lead" role, preferably in automotive, retail, or hospitality.
Expert Communicator: Ability to explain technical automotive needs to customers and provide clear, constructive feedback to staff.
Tech Savvy: Proficient with POS systems, shop management software, and basic office applications (Excel/Email).
Problem Solver: A knack for multitasking in a high-volume environment and thinking on your feet.
Requirements: Must have a valid driver’s license and the physical stamina to work in a shop environment (including heat and standing for long periods).
