We are hiring an experienced Commercial Plumbing Foreman for a well-established commercial plumbing contractor in the Clinton, MD area.

This is a hands-on leadership position for someone who knows commercial plumbing, can independently run a crew, read blueprints, lay out work, troubleshoot problems, and keep projects moving safely and efficiently.

Approximately 80% of the company's projects are prevailing wage jobs, giving strong performers the opportunity to earn significantly higher hourly rates on qualifying projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead and supervise commercial plumbing crews
• Read and interpret commercial plumbing blueprints and specifications
• Perform layout, measurements, offsets and piping installation
• Coordinate manpower, materials and daily production
• Install and oversee commercial plumbing systems from underground and rough-in through trim and completion
• Assign work and maintain productivity
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents and other trades
• Inspect completed work for quality and code compliance
• Troubleshoot plumbing installation problems in the field
• Maintain jobsite safety and enforce company procedures
• Train and mentor plumbers and apprentices when needed

Experience We're Looking For

You should have strong hands-on commercial plumbing experience with systems such as:

• Copper
• PVC
• CPVC
• Cast iron
• Underground sanitary piping
• Storm piping
• Domestic water systems
• Commercial fixtures
• Equipment connections
• Above-ground and underground plumbing
• Commercial rough-in and finish work

Experience with larger commercial construction projects is strongly preferred.

Requirements

• Commercial plumbing experience REQUIRED
• Plumbing Foreman, Lead Plumber or Crew Leader experience strongly preferred
• Ability to independently read commercial plumbing blueprints
• Ability to lay out work and calculate measurements and offsets
• Ability to lead plumbers and apprentices in the field
• Strong understanding of commercial plumbing installation methods
• Ability to work safely and productively
• Dependable and able to report to jobsites on time
• Valid driver's license preferred
• Must be willing to work throughout the Clinton, MD / Washington, DC regional market

Residential-only plumbers will not be considered for this Foreman position.

Compensation

• Base Pay: Approximately $45/hour depending on experience
• Prevailing Wage Projects: Approximately $68–$72+/hour depending on project classification and applicable wage determination.
• Approximately 80% of the company's workload consists of prevailing wage projects.
• Placement on prevailing wage work is based on project availability, experience and performance and is not guaranteed 100% of the time.
