Packing Specialist

Wrapper — Operations Team

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Wrapper to join our Operations Team in Southington, CT. In this role, you'll play a key part in ensuring our products reach customers in excellent condition — constructing standard and custom boxes, crates, skids, and pallets that protect our materials through every step of shipping.

Responsibilities:

• Uphold safety as the top priority in all tasks.
• Inspect materials for physical damage or defects prior to packaging.
• Select appropriate packaging materials to prevent damage in transit.
• Construct skids, boxes, crates, and pallets to specification.
• Measure materials accurately using tape measures and other measuring devices.
• Operate banding and nail guns.
• Safely operate forklifts and overhead cranes.
• Scan and stage orders in designated shipping and loading zones.
• Monitor linear footage of wood used for export order packaging.
• Perform additional warehouse duties as assigned by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications:

This is a safety-sensitive position requiring the operation of heavy machinery.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions.
• Demonstrated history of working safely and productively.
• Forklift operation experience strongly preferred.
• Basic math proficiency, including decimals and fractions, and the ability to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team.
• Must be able to pass a background check, drug screen, and physical exam, and meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Willingness to work required overtime as needed.
