Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist - Angiography with 1+ year of vascular or interventional experience for a role requiring on-call availability.

Details

  • Interventional Radiology department setting
  • 4x10 hour day shifts with required on-call coverage
  • 40 hours per week
  • Uses Epic for charting
  • Facility provides radiation monitoring badge (dosimeter)

Requirements

  • Minimum of 1 year of vascular or interventional experience
  • ARRT registration required, RT(R) accepted with Angiography experience or RT(VI)
  • Vascular/Interventional radiography certification or 1 year of Angio/Interventional experience required
  • BLS certification required (AHA, must not expire prior to start)
  • State Rad Tech license required if applicable
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • ACLS or PALS certification preferred
  • Must be able to lift heavy items and assist with patient transport and ambulation
  • Manual dexterity for operating complex equipment and frequent computer use required
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and navigate crowded work areas required

Additional Information

  • Prepares patients for exams, verifies orders, and ensures proper patient identification
  • Produces quality images through proper operation of imaging equipment
  • Completes documentation including time stamps and image storage
  • Maintains work area and stocks supplies as needed
  • Transports patients as required
  • Applies closure devices, sutures sheaths, or applies pressure for hemostasis at the end of procedures
  • Provides patient education and comfort throughout procedures
  • Provides procedural assistance as a circulating, scrub, or monitoring tech per lab policies
  • Returning employees must be separated from any facility within the health system for at least one year before being eligible for a new assignment
