Description
American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel assignment providing inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation services.
Details
- Full-time day shift schedule, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- 13-week assignment length
- Phys Med Therapy Physical department
- Provides evaluation and treatment services for both inpatient and outpatient patients
- Utilizes standard PT modalities and equipment as outlined by governing therapy examiners board
Requirements
- Bachelor's, Master's, or entry-level Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree from an accredited program required
- Current Physical Therapist licensure required if applicable
- BLS certification via AHA required
- No minimum years of experience required
- Must be able to complete pre-employment and annual health screening examinations
Additional Information
- Conducts comprehensive diagnostic evaluations of physical and cognitive abilities for patients of varying ages and diagnoses
- Develops and implements individualized treatment plans with measurable goals in collaboration with patients and families
- Maintains documentation including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries per policy
- Participates in patient care conferences, family conferences, and departmental meetings
- Provides discharge planning and patient/family education
- May assist with supervision and coordination of PT and PTA student programs and volunteers
- Assists with department operations, new associate orientation, and scheduling as needed
- Participates in performance improvement activities and maintains productivity standards
- Candidates must live outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel rate
- Returning employees who previously worked at any CHRISTUS facility must have a 6-month separation period before starting a new travel assignment
