CT/Rad Tech needed About Facility: Address: 140 Academy Street, Presque Isle, Maine Beds: 89 Licensed Beds Teaching Facility Unit Information: Beds: 1 CT room, 1 PET CT room (used as backup CT machine)3 x-ray rooms (2 General, 1 Fluoro/Pain Clinic) Census? Average patients/day? 25-30 patients per day on average Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year of CT experience. Can teach x-ray here again if it has been a long time for them Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes Patient Types/Common Diagnoses: CT: ED, Outpatient, Inpatient Primarily Adult/Geriatrics with some Peds Outpatient: Oncology, general abdominal pain, post-surgical, trauma Biopsies (experience not required will train) Cardiac CTA (experience not required will train) X-ray: Outpatient, Inpatient ED/ICU/MedSurg, Operating Room Primarily Adult/Geriatrics with some Peds Fluoroscopy, C-Arm in OR, Ortho Ortho Trauma, ICU, MedSurg, ER (CXRAY, AB scans, Vascular) Required License, National Certification, Certs: BLS, ARRT (R) CT, ME State License Skills required: Experience with above patient types CTA studies, Experience with general studies IV start skills and biopsy experience highly preferred Highly preferred to have OR/C-arm and Fluoro experience, but not required. Must be comfortable being trained and taking on these duties here though. Please include in offer email if traveler has experience with this and if they re comfortable being taught here. Support within the Department: Lead Tech Internal Transport 2 CT Techs on weekdays and Eves, 1 on weekends Radiologist on site 3 days a week and 2 days reading remotely from a different facility (still available via phone) until 1630/1700, switch to remote service after that Technology/Equipment: EMR: Cerner PACS: Enterprise Imaging AGFA CT Equipment: Siemens X.Cite GE 16 slice PET CT (used as backup CT machine) experience preferred with Siemens GE but not required X-ray Equipment: 1st imaging room: Siemens 2nd imaging room: T-Rad with Siemens ART PIX to make it digital (general Xray room) Fluoroscopy unit Cannon Ultimax Hybrid C-arm (General Radiology procedures + Pain Clinic) Operating Room: Phillips C-Arm and OEC C-arm Mobile units: Phillips C-arms, Siemens Portable (Digital), GE AMX 4 portable, Mini C-arm for Ortho scans Floating: If yes, where? Will float between CT and X-ray, could float to the OR and do portables at bedside Orientation (facility and unit): NEO 1-1.5 weeks of orientation, based on comfort level Scheduling: Weekend rotation: Varies based on requisition. On call? No Holiday Expectations: Done in rotation with other techs. Typically, 50-75% of holidays in contract Approval of RTO: to go through manager Shift times: Typically, Monday Friday unless weekend staff have PTO or out unexpectedly. Would know in advance if needed on a weekend. Schedule cycle: 6-week increments, Manager makes schedule.
