Description

American Traveler is seeking an Interventional Radiology Technologist for a Days shift assignment requiring active ARRT certification and prior IR/Cath Lab experience.

Details

• Work in the Cath Lab-Interventional Vascular unit performing interventional and peripheral vascular procedures
• Approximately 25 cases per day
• Days shift, 4x10 hour shifts starting at 7am, 40 hrs/week
• Holiday rotation required
• Call requirement of every 3rd evening and every 3rd weekend
• Required to float across campuses when needed
• Call team covers both facilities with most emergencies occurring at the Level I trauma facility
• Uses Epic EMR

Requirements

• Active ARRT or RCIS/CCI certification required
• Active ARRT (R) certification required
• ARRT (CI or VI) highly preferred
• Iowa Radiology license highly preferred, with candidates willing to obtain licensure considered
• Compact licensure not accepted for this role
• Minimum 12 months of vascular procedure experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Minimum 12 months of current interventional vascular/IR lab experience required
• Cardiac Cath Lab (CCL) experience in a hospital or medical center setting required
• Current or prior experience supporting Operating Room procedures required
• Peripheral vascular experience required
• Scrub, circulate, and monitor experience required
• Level I trauma experience preferred
• BLS certification preferred
• Driver's license required for consideration
• Professional reference from a supervisor, charge nurse, manager, director, CNO, or COO within the past 24 months preferred

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and monitoring during interventional vascular procedures
• Must be at least 50 miles from the facility based on driver's license address; no local candidates accepted
• Prior UnityPoint Health employees (FTE or PRN) are restricted from working travel assignments at other UPH markets
• Required to work 1-2 of the 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day) unless the unit is closed
