Job Summary and Qualifications
The Regulatory Compliance Nurse Coordinator is accountable for designing and implementing systems to ensure a state of continual regulatory, licensure and accreditation compliance.
What you will do in this role:
- Organize, schedule, and conduct internal audit processes to measure survey readiness (mock surveys, tracer activities, etc.).
- Track and trend regulatory compliance issues.
- Prepare quarterly leadership report regarding regulatory compliance.
- Assure measurement of all required PPR elements.
- Coordinate PPR completion and submission.
- Coordinate QRS Survey.
- Coordinate all on site regulatory, licensure, and accreditation surveys including but not limited to The Joint Commission, American College of Surgeons, State Department of Health, CMS, CAP/AABB, Radiology (i.e. mammography), Pharmacy, OSHA, FDA, and Disease certification.
- Identify resources to correct deviations from regulation.
- Oversee survey response and action plan compliance (i.e. measures of success).
- Control all regulatory, licensure, and accreditation documents.
- Monitor and act on rule/regulation/standard changes.
- Educate hospital staff, medical staff, and leadership regarding regulatory requirements/changes.
- Provide input on service or process design to assure regulatory compliance.
- Provide direction to policy/procedure review/revision to assure regulatory compliance.
- Conduct annual State and CMS regulatory compliance assessment.
- Facilitate functional groups to ensure regulatory compliance and improvement activities.
What qualifications you will need:
- Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of Tennessee or compact state required.
- American Heart Association or Red Cross BLS required.
- Experience with regulatory compliance and survey readiness required.
- 3 years of clinical experience required.
- Healthcare management experience preferred.
- CPHQ certification preferred.
