Program Assistant – Adult Day | Russian Speaking
📍 Location: Rainbow of Rockville Adult Day Health Center
🏢 Address: 11215 Woodglen Dr, Rockville, MD 20852
💰 Wage: $18.00/hour
🕐 Schedule: Full-Time | 40 Hours Per Week
Weekday Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 7:30 AM–3:30 PM
Sunday Hours: 2 Sundays per month required, 9:00 AM–2:00 PM
No evenings. No on-call shifts!

Applicants must have:
- 🗣️ Must be fluent in Russian
- 🎵 Must be creative, energetic, and comfortable playing a musical instrument to lead engaging musical activities and keep participants entertained

Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance in the daily care of health-impaired older adults or individuals with brain injuries, intellectual/developmental disabilities, emotional or behavioral disabilities, or mental health diagnoses
- Assist with the development and implementation of individual and group activity programs
- Support the care, safety, security, and social/recreational activities of individuals receiving services
- Assist individuals with daily living needs, including personal hygiene, bathing, bathroom assistance, grooming, meal preparation, and medication administration
- Provide guidance with social skills, advocacy, and self-esteem while teaching strategies to promote greater independence
- Transport individuals to medical appointments, errands, shopping, and activities in the community
- High school diploma or equivalent; must be at least 18 years old
- Minimum one year of experience providing services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, preferably with older adults
- Physical exam within the past 12 months and annual TB test
- Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle with current registration, and insurance
- Proficient in vital signs, weights, Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), and independent ADLs
- Competence in CPR and First Aid
- Strong attention to detail and effective communication skills to manage relationships
- Reliable, responsible attitude and compassionate approach
