Volt is immediately hiring Material Handlers in Sandusky MI, 48471
 

• Four-day work week
• Consistent 1st shift schedule
• Overtime opportunities available

 

As a Material Handler, you will:

• Load, unload, move, stage, and transport materials, parts, and supplies throughout the plant, yard, or worksite.
• Read work orders, shipping documents, and verbal instructions to support material handling, inventory, and distribution activities.
• Receive incoming shipments, verify accuracy against purchase orders and packing slips, inspect for damage, and process materials for storage or distribution.
• Stock, locate, retrieve, and maintain inventory to support production and shipping requirements.
• Assemble, package, label, and prepare customer and production orders for shipment.
• Safely operate material handling equipment, including:
  • Forklifts (Hi-Lo)
  • Order Pickers (Wave Equipment)
  • Pallet Jacks
  • Other warehouse equipment as assigned
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment while following company policies and procedures

 

This is a full-time opportunity.

 

Schedule: 

1st Shift: 6:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Thursday
Overtime may be required on Fridays and Saturdays.

 

The ideal candidate will have:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous material handling experience 
• Ability to operate forklifts (Hi-Lo) and Wave/Order Picker equipment.
• Valid State Driver's License required.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Ability to work overtime and extended hours as business needs require.

 

Pay Rate: $17.86 per hour
