Structural Welder Class II

Pacesetter Personnel Services is actively seeking Structural Welders Class II for our client in the Brookshire, TX 77423 area.

Pay:

$ 23.00 - $26.00 an hour, depending on experience. We pay weekly.

Schedule:

Monday through Friday. Some weekends will be required.
1st shift: 6:00 am - 5:30 pm
2nd shift: 6:00 pm - 5:30 am

Job Description:

• Weld and fabricate structural steel components according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform MIG and Flux Core welding using 1/16-inch wire.
• Successfully perform welding in the 3G position while maintaining quality and proper weld penetration.
• Gouge and prepare welds and metal surfaces as required.
• Set up and operate welding equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed welds to ensure they meet quality and project specifications.
• Safely move, position, and secure structural steel components during fabrication.

Requirements:

• 2–4 years of experience in structural steel welding and fabrication.
• Must be able to successfully pass a 3G weld test.
• Proficiency with MIG and Flux Core welding required.
• Experience welding with 1/16-inch wire.
• Must have experience with gouging.
• Ability to read and follow blueprints, drawings, and welding specifications.
• Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication and welding practices.
• Ability to safely handle and position large steel components.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced industrial/fabrication environment.
• Experience operating overhead cranes, jib cranes, and other lifting/rigging equipment is a plus.
• Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen.
