Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (OP) The organization is seeking a qualified Physical Therapist to assist patients in restoring physical function through evaluation and treatment. The role involves providing outpatient services within a 20-bed critical access hospital setting, primarily focusing on general orthopedic, neurological, and gait-related cases. This position is scheduled for daytime shifts, Monday through Friday, with a standard work week.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, minimum of 40 hours per week, starting 09/28/2026 and ending 01/11/2027.
  • Required Qualifications: Doctoral degree in Physical Therapy (licensed after 2016) or equivalent; current state license in Physical Therapy; CPR certification within 90 days of hire; active Illinois license or confirmation that the application process has been initiated; valid driver's license verified through the Department of Motor Vehicles; at least 1 year of relevant experience.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Previous experience as a Physical Therapist; demonstrated ability to provide patient-centered care; strong communication and analytical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software.
  • Additional Information: The position involves outpatients with a mix of orthopedic, neurological, and gait cases in a minimally invasive hospital environment. Candidates must adhere to the organization's policies, including a drug-free campus requirement and submission of last four digits of SSN, middle initial, and requested time off during application.
  • Position Notes: The outpatient role is primarily focused on general orthopedic, neuro, and gait cases within a 20-bed critical access hospital. The facility accepts Illinois license waivers and applies a local rate for clinicians with permanent addresses within 50 miles. Orientation hours are non-billable, totaling 12 hours, with no guaranteed hours during orientation.
