Senior Cyber Secruity Engineer

Job Title: Senior Cyber Security Engineer
Pay: $150,000–$160,000 
Location: Remote with 25% travel (Columbus, Cincinnati, Dallas, Richmond)

Summary:
This role is pivotal in designing, deploying, and managing security controls across a rapidly scaling technology estate. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in the Microsoft security stack and hands-on experience in incident response, vulnerability management, and security architecture. .

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, cybersecurity, or equivalent practical experience
• 7+ years of experience in information security, with at least 3 years in security engineering roles owning production controls
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft security products  including deployment and troubleshooting at scale
• Proven incident response expertise, from detection through post-incident review
• Proficiency in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Python, etc.) to streamline operations

Responsibilities:

• Design and implement security architecture across identity, endpoint, email, network, cloud, and data workloads
• Lead technical security efforts for major strategic initiatives including ERP consolidation, data platform deployment, and AI integration
• Manage and optimize threat detection and response activities, working closely with managed detection providers and leading incident management efforts
• Own and operate the identity and access security stack, including privileged access and automated lifecycle management
• Lead vulnerability management activities, including discovery, prioritization, remediation, and reporting
• Extend security controls into operational technology (OT), field service, and connected devices environments
• Support compliance efforts and manage audit, insurance, and customer security requirements, producing evidentiary documentation
