Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) - Full-Time

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join a hospital laboratory team in Great Bend, KS. The MLS will perform laboratory testing, analyze specimens, maintain quality standards, and support accurate and timely patient results.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and specialized laboratory testing according to established procedures.
• Process, analyze, and evaluate patient specimens accurately.
• Review test results and identify abnormal or critical findings.
• Follow quality control and laboratory safety procedures.
• Maintain accurate laboratory documentation and records.
• Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and instruments.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure testing is performed efficiently and according to regulatory standards.
• Support continuous quality improvement and department initiatives.

Requirements

• Associate degree in Medical Laboratory Science/Technology or appropriate military laboratory training.
• Minimum 1 year of MLS experience preferred/required.
• Eligible for or certified through ASCP, NCA, AMT, or equivalent.
• Certification must be completed within 6 months of hire if not already active.
• Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work rotating weekends and holidays.
