Job Summary

MacLean-Fogg is hiring a Material Handler - Weekend Night Shift at our Savanna, IL manufacturing facility. In this role, you will receive, store, issue, and move materials to keep production supplied and shipments on schedule. You will use forklifts, warehouse equipment, and inventory systems to support safe, accurate material flow across the facility.

  • Location: Savanna, IL

  • Work Arrangement: On-site

  • Schedule: Weekend Night Shift, Friday-Sunday, 6:00 PM-6:00 AM

  • Pay: $19-$21/hour

  • Employment Type: Full-time / Hourly

  • Overtime: Overtime may be required based on business needs.

What You'll Do as a Material Handler
  • Complete shipments by processing and organizing orders to meet production schedules.

  • Safely operate powered industrial equipment, including forklifts, to move materials throughout the facility.

  • Use warehouse equipment and JDE, RFS, and RF technology to track inventory movement and support efficient shipping processes.

  • Receive, store, issue, weigh, stock, and pack inbound and outbound materials and products while maintaining appropriate inventory levels.

  • Load and unload trucks accurately while supporting the safe transport of materials and products.

  • Deliver raw materials to work centers promptly to support production operations and minimize downtime.

  • Maintain inventory accuracy through regular counts and reconciliations, helping keep stock levels aligned with production needs.

  • Ensure materials are correctly labeled and packaged, and inspect materials for damage to support quality standards.

What You'll BringRequired Qualifications
  • 0-2 years of related experience.

  • Beginning to working knowledge of material-handling practices and procedures.

  • Basic verbal and written communication skills.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Attention to detail, time-management, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

This role involves pushing and pulling objects up to 30 pounds, using manual dexterity to handle small objects, and working in noisy environments. Employees in this role also work around powered industrial and warehouse equipment in a manufacturing setting.
