Position Summary

The Lead Installation Technician serves as the on-site team leader and primary point of contact for Amazon site leadership. This individual is responsible for safety, quality assurance, project execution, daily reporting, and coordination of travel logistics while ensuring each site is completed on schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a four-person installation pod through a standardized weekly site deployment
  • Conduct site walkthroughs, safety briefings, and daily planning meetings
  • Oversee removal of existing floor markings and installation of new safety lane systems
  • Verify proper installation of lane markings, directional arrows, stop signs, and delineator posts
  • Ensure IQ Signs are mounted, calibrated, tested, and documented
  • Complete QA inspections and site acceptance documentation
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Amazon Operations and Safety teams
  • Submit daily production reports and weekly status updates
  • Manage pod tools, materials, rental vehicles, and travel logistics
  • Maintain a strong safety culture and enforce all site requirements

Required

  • 3+ years of industrial, construction, facilities, or installation experience
  • Minimum 1-year leading crews or field teams
  • OSHA 30 certification, or OSHA 10 with ability to obtain OSHA 30 before deployment
  • Experience working in active warehouse or industrial environments
  • Strong communication and reporting skills
  • Comfortable using mobile devices for reporting and documentation
