Compensation: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
A growing healthcare organization in Sarasota County, FL is seeking an experienced and compassionate Medical Assistant (MA) to join its dynamic clinical team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a patient-focused Medical Assistant who is comfortable working in a fast-paced clinical environment and has strong phlebotomy and patient-care skills.
ResponsibilitiesPerform patient intake, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs
Assist providers with examinations, procedures, and treatments
Perform blood draws and phlebotomy procedures
Administer medications and vaccinations according to provider orders
Perform patient triage and obtain/document vital signs
Accurately document patient information in the EMR
Educate patients regarding care plans, medications, and preventive healthcare
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized clinical environment
Collaborate closely with providers and other clinical/support staff
Provide excellent patient service and maintain a compassionate, professional approach
Active Florida Medical Assistant certification required
3+ years of phlebotomy experience
Prior experience in primary care, urgent care, or an outpatient clinical setting preferred
Strong blood-draw/phlebotomy skills
Excellent patient communication and customer service skills
Ability to multitask and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
EMR proficiency required; experience with Elation or similar systems preferred
Competitive pay based on experience
