What We’re Looking For:

• Proficient in American Sign Language (ASL)
• Prior experience as a paraprofessional or working with students with communication needs preferred
• EIPA certification not required
• Ability to work afternoons, Monday to Friday (2:30–6:00 PM)
• Comfortable traveling between various locations as needed
• Strong communication skills and a compassionate, patient demeanor
• Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive educational environment

Role Responsibilities:

• Provide ASL interpretation and communication support for students during after-school programs
• Assist lead teachers and staff in implementing educational activities
• Support students’ social and academic interactions, promoting engagement and participation
• Collaborate with educators and families to ensure each student’s needs are met
• Adapt communication and instruction methods to match individual student strengths
• Maintain a structured, encouraging atmosphere for all program participants
