Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Ground Technician Coordinator to help manage and support field crews on drainage, grading, and site improvement projects. This position serves as the key connection between project management and field personnel to ensure projects are properly organized, supplied, marked, and completed according to project specifications.
After project plans are developed, the Ground Technician Coordinator is responsible for helping bring those plans to life. Duties include purchasing and delivering materials, preparing job site layouts, coordinating logistics, monitoring quality, documenting progress, and ensuring field crews have everything needed to complete projects successfully.
This is a hands-on leadership position that combines project coordination with physical field work. The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Serve as the primary communication link between project management and field crews
Review drainage, grading, and installation plans prior to project start
Purchase, organize, transport, and deliver materials and supplies to job sites
Coordinate project logistics and material deliveries
Operate company vehicles and tow dump trailers
Haul and dispose of soil, debris, rock, vegetation, and construction waste
Prepare project layouts and site markings before installation begins
Mark drainage routes, grading areas, elevations, and installation locations
Assist crew leaders with stake placement and project layout
Ensure crews understand project plans, specifications, and requirements
Conduct quality control inspections throughout project completion
Verify work meets project specifications and quality standards
Take measurements, photos, notes, and maintain project documentation
Monitor job site safety, organization, efficiency, and material usage
Assist with drainage, grading, excavation, and installation work as needed
Communicate project progress, challenges, and solutions to management
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 50+ pounds on a regular basis
Ability to work outdoors in heat, humidity, rain, mud, and cold weather
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
Comfortable driving trucks and towing trailers
Willingness to travel between multiple job sites as needed
Qualifications

Ability to read and follow project plans and layouts
Experience towing trailers preferred
Experience in drainage, grading, landscaping, construction, excavation, or project coordination preferred
Experience supervising or leading crews preferred
Experience with quality control inspections and project documentation preferred
