Manufacturing Assembly
Title: Assembler
Type: Full-time, temp to hire
Pay: $18.00 / hour
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:00am – 3:30pm (mandatory overtime required)

SUMMARY:
The purpose of this position is to learn, under close supervision, the art of handcrafting our client’s filters at expected standards for this level. This is an entry level position for which all. assemblers establish a skill base before advancing into Assembler Level I. The Assembler significantly contributes to the success of the Company as they are crafting the end product and must adhere to established standards for procedures and practices.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Demonstrates close attention to detail.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, is self-motivated to continually improve performance, and is a team player.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand motions with good eye-hand dexterity.
- Dexterity to handle and assemble both small and large components.
- Demonstrates the ability to use hand tools and measuring tools effectively.
- Familiarity with basic Windows operation and applications such as MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar programs; computerized manufacturing equipment.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Adheres to safety rules at all times wearing proper PPE required for task being performed and strictly follows Company policies.
- Maintains a positive attitude and a teachable mindset.
- Adheres to established work schedule.
- Maintains confidentiality as to our client’s processes and procedures.
- Interacts well with all levels of employees.
- With close supervision, interprets and follows work instructions from Job Travelers and/or drawings and assembles filter element components using various hand tools.
- Transports filters to next production stage using bins, trays, or carts, ensuring product integrity.
- Completes all necessary production documentation before presenting a job to final inspection.
- Ability to work shift schedule, five (5) eight-hour shifts or four (4) ten-hour shifts. With overtime as required.
- All other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 0-12 months experience in a very fast-paced light manufacturing environment.
LANGUAGE SKILLS: Must Speak English fluently as well as writes in English.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math.
REASONING ABILITY: Basic reasoning and the ability to distinguish when to ask for help with interpreting instructions.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Eye-hand dexterity: 100% of time.
- Lifting up to 25 lbs. (90 %), Sitting (75%), standing, bending, stooping, pushing carts with wheels containing filters, walking as required.
- Ability to see and discern differences in colors, shapes, and textures (100%).
