Phlebotomist

Position Purpose:                            

Phlebotomists receive the physician's request and collects blood specimens from patients properly identifying the patient and promptly drawing and correctly labeling the specimens. Greets and interacts with patients and visitors courteously at all times. Cross trains in secretary office for adequate coverage when needed.                                                     

Position Qualifications:                            

·         High school diploma or equivalent                            

·         Phlebotomy certification preferred.                            

·         Phlebotomy experience preferred.                            

·         Ability to perform venipunctures, heel sticks, finger sticks, Ietc. Ability to communicate and perform phlebotomy procedures on all ages from neonatal to geriatric.
