Welder - MIG/TIG

Location: Durham, NC 27517Job Type: Full-TimeShift: Day ShiftPay: $25–$28/hrJob OverviewWe are seeking an experienced MIG/TIG Welder with a background in metal fabrication and fitting. The ideal candidate will have hands-on welding experience and be comfortable preparing, fitting, assembling, and welding metal components according to blueprints and specifications.ResponsibilitiesPerform MIG and TIG welding on metal components and assemblies.Perform basic fabrication and fitting of metal components.Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and weld symbols.Measure, cut, position, align, and fit materials before welding.Perform tack welding and ensure proper fit-up and alignment.Prepare and clean materials and surfaces for welding.Weld carbon steel and stainless steel as required.Grind and finish welds when necessary.Inspect completed welds and fabricated components for quality and accuracy.Use grinders, cutting equipment, hand tools, and other fabrication equipment.Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.Qualifications & ExperiencePrevious MIG and TIG welding experience.Previous experience with metal fabrication and fitting.Experience with layout, fit-up, tack welding, and assembly.Ability to read and interpret blueprints, fabrication drawings, and weld symbols.Experience working with carbon steel and/or stainless steel.Ability to set up and operate MIG/TIG welding equipment.Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.Welding certification or technical training is a plus.Hiring ProcessA hands-on weld test may be required as part of the hiring process to demonstrate welding skills.Pay: $25–$28/hrLocation: Durham, NC 27517Job Type: Full-Time
