Pay Rate: $19/hr on W2 | (1ST SHIFT (7AM - 3:30 PM CST)**

Pay Rate: $20/hr on W2 | (2ND SHIFT 3:30 PM - 12 AM CST)

Job Description:

Mechanical Assembler I is an entry level position. The purpose for an operator at this level is to gain a basic understanding of deburring and air grinding operations. Operators must obtain a basic level knowledge to deburr and clean parts in a manner necessary to produce precision parts with direct supervision by a more senior Mechanical Assembler with Deburring Certification (level II or above). Follows established standard work under general supervision in efforts to obtain certification within 120 days.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Learn how to maintain and operate deburring tools.
• Learn how to read blueprints to verify work was completed properly.
• Accurately complete production documentation and performs necessary labour transactions.
• Support and follow all rules/guidelines/standards set by EHS, Quality, and CI functions as set by your leader and position.
• Actively participates in the Continuous Improvement process as well as safety related activities
• Works under immediate supervision. Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
• Develops basic job skills and learns company policies and procedures to complete routine tasks.
• Tasks are routine/ repetitive in nature, requiring limited judgment. Has little or no role in decision-making.
• Operates hand tools, electrical tools, hand cutters, measuring equipment and light equipment.
• Over 40 hours is required as scheduled to meet business needs.
• All other duties as assigned including working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business.
• Willingness to work nonstandard hours
• Some Holiday hours may be required based on business need
• Working extended shifts/overtime as required by the business

Education/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
