Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) - School-Based

$44–$60/hour + Mileage Reimbursement | Full-Time | School-Year Position

At Platinum Therapy, we partner with schools to help children build communication skills and achieve their educational goals. We are currently seeking a Bilingual Spanish-English Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) for an in-person school-based position in Coachella, California.

This is an excellent opportunity for an SLPA who enjoys working with children, collaborating with school teams, and supporting Spanish- and English-speaking students and families.

What You'll Do

As a Bilingual SLPA, you will work under the direction and supervision of a licensed Speech Language Pathologist to provide speech and language services to students in a school setting.

Responsibilities include:

  • Implement speech and language therapy plans developed by the supervising SLP.

  • Provide therapy services to students in English and/or Spanish as directed.

  • Support students in achieving their IEP communication goals.

  • Track and document student progress.

  • Collaborate with supervising SLPs, teachers, school staff and other members of the educational team.

  • Communicate effectively with Spanish- and English-speaking students and families.

  • Provide culturally responsive support to students from diverse linguistic backgrounds.

  • Maintain accurate therapy documentation and follow school and Platinum Therapy requirements.

Qualifications
  • Current California SLPA license/authorization required.

  • Fluent in English and Spanish.

  • Pediatric or school-based experience preferred but not required for all positions.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to collaborate effectively with SLPs, educators, families and other professionals.

  • Passion for working with children and supporting their educational and communication development.
