We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team at Avir at Hearne, a respected provider of healthcare services. As a COTA, you will play a vital role in helping our patients achieve their rehabilitation goals and regain independence.

About the Role:

As a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you will work under the supervision of an occupational therapist to develop and implement individualized treatment plans for our patients. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as dressing, grooming, and feeding

• Helping patients with exercises and activities to improve coordination, balance, and strength

• Providing adaptive equipment and assistive technology to enhance patient independence

• Monitoring patient progress and reporting to the occupational therapist

• Maintaining accurate and timely records of patient treatment

Requirements:

• Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA)

• Texas OTA license in good standing

• Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients as needed

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills

• Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team
