Job Description
Overview

Step into a leadership role at the heart of our manufacturing floor. As the Manufacturing Equipment Operations Lead, you coordinate the work of associates who keep our production equipment running safely, efficiently, and to spec. You train, guide, and support the team; champion quality; and drive continuous improvement every day.

A Day in the Life

You start your shift reviewing handoffs, assigning associates to process stations, and confirming that safety and quality checks are in place. Early in the run, you coach team members through preventive maintenance tasks and set up machines for production. When a fault occurs, you’re at the console fast—diagnosing the issue, clearing the error, and restarting the line to minimize downtime. Throughout the day, you verify that scrap is recorded and disposed of correctly, and you make sure any required rework is completed before the day ends. If a gap appears in staffing, you step in to operate equipment or a specific process station. Any deviation in quality is elevated quickly to the Team Leader or Production Manager.

What You’ll Lead and Do
  • Coordinate and assist associates operating and maintaining production equipment across multiple process stations.
  • Train team members on preventive maintenance assignments and safe machine operation.
  • Set up machines for production runs and verify readiness in accordance with safety and quality requirements.
  • Respond to equipment faults, clear alarms, and perform prompt restarts to restore flow.
  • Accurately record and dispose of scrap materials each day; ensure end-of-day rework is completed.
  • Lead, motivate, and provide coverage by filling in on the line when needed.
  • Communicate any quality issues immediately to the Team Leader or Production Manager.
  • Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives.
Your Expertise
  • GD&T literacy and application on the floor.
  • Strong troubleshooting and fault isolation ability.
  • Proficiency using tape measures and performing precision hand metrology.
  • Experience with spindle care, maintenance, and repair.
  • Hands-on machine setups for production changeovers.
  • Manual machining skills and comfort operating varied process stations.
Impact

Your leadership keeps people safe, quality tight, and equipment reliable—so our customers receive the parts they expect, when they expect them.
