Job Description

LPN/LVN – MEDICATION DISPENSING

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Seeking a detail-oriented and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) / Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to administer prescribed medications as part of a collaborative treatment team. The ideal candidate is empathetic, non-judgmental, and comfortable working with patients receiving treatment for Substance Use Disorder.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Administer daily medications according to established medical protocols and program policies.
Operate automated medication dispensing systems and maintain dispensing equipment.
Maintain accurate patient records, reports, and medication documentation.
Follow all security requirements for the storage and distribution of controlled substances.
Order, receive, and stock medications in accordance with applicable regulations.
Perform daily patient assessments.
Assist with orientation and training of new nursing staff.
Perform other nursing duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

1+ year of medication administration experience – Required.
Opioid Addiction Center/OTP experience – Highly Preferred.
BLS – Required.
Active Maine LPN/LVN license.
Compact license accepted.
Skills Checklist.
Two Supervisory References.
